I am looking for the name of a late 80s to early 90s movie.....?

It revolves around a married couple in a house. They started off by getting along well, but then started being awful to one another. The man sawed off all the heels off the woman's shoes. In return, she cut off all his ties. They fought throughout most of the movie, and I remember they tried to get along, but one of the characters said something, and the other confessed to have killed the other's cat and lied that he put the meat into the dinner they were eating. I do not remember much of the rest of the movie, other than they destroyed each other's things and the house, and the movie ended by them in the chandelier, happy and in love, and the chandelier collapsed killing them both. They were found by their neighbors the next morning.
