On l.a noire , The Quarter Moon Murders Case Glitch(Please Help)?

Well I was in hall of record and after the chandelier had fell my partner just looked at car then started walking away up stairs and kept trying to walk through a door.so i thought i would just walk away but when i went back he`s dissapeared but hes still marked on map and i havent got my next destination! What Can I Do!?
