What situations/outfits should you wear chandelier earrings with?

I want to get some nice chandelier earrings, but I'm not exactly sure when I should wear them. I don't go out clubbing or partying much, so I'd like to be able to fit them in with everyday clothes. Usually I dress nice and feminine, with lots of colors and skirts and such. Is there any way to wear them with more casual outfits, like a skirt/jeans and a cute top?
